December 10, 2019Three Easy Ways to Reduce Sugar without Kids Noticing
December 10, 2019Christmas is such a special time, it makes sense we tend to give our kids more “special” treats than normal. With all of the fun Christmas cookies and desserts on Pinterest, it is tempting to want to make LOTS of unhealthy treats. It isn’t hard to ignore that little voice telling you, “remember moderation!”
Here are a few tips to help limit those extra Christmas calories.
1. Make Christmas inspired healthy snacks such as Fruit Snowman or Fruit Candy Canes instead of cookies.
2. Remember that it is better to give than to receive. Keep a small portion for you and your family, and give the rest away.
3. Don’t leave it out. If you put it in the pantry then it won’t be begging you to eat it every time you or your kids walk by. Out of sight out of mind.
Christmas is always a fun time to indulge a little, but try to be responsible and teach your children the importance of eating special treats in moderation.
