South African Rusk Recipe
December 10, 2019Bribing with Food
December 10, 2019Since carrots steal the spotlight from all the other veggies at Easter, I thought this was such a great way to get your little ones to eat some veggies. It’s easy and healthy so let the kids help you make it!
- Crescent rolls (I love the brand Immaculate)
- Veggie Cream Cheese
- Chopped Carrots
- Broccoli
Here is how you do it:
Preheat oven to 350. Unroll crescent rolls and form into carrot shapes. I just cut a little off the side to make it a better triangle and used the extra pieces for the top. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown.
While they are baking, chop your carrots and remove the stems from the broccoli. To make it easy I bought Matchstix carrots, and we used our food chopper to chop them.
Let the rolls cool.
Spread cream cheese all over the rolls. Place the broccoli on the top of the rolls and then sprinkle the carrots on the bottom. My two year old loved helping with this step.
Admiring his creation and impatiently waiting until mommy says it is okay to eat it!
Enjoy your yummy, healthy carrot pizza!
Happy Easter!
