December 10, 2019Easter Safety, in an Eggshell + Natural Easter Egg Dyes
December 10, 2019Hi y’all! I’m Randi, and I am so excited to contribute to Indulge in Nutrition’s blog! I’ll be writing posts for the next few months, so I wanted to tell you a little bit about myself. My name is Randi Thiebaud, and I’m a sophomore Nutrition major at Texas A&M. Whoop! I’m from Newton, TX, the oldest of 3 kids, and the only girl.
My mom was always a health nut (before it was cool), so I’ve always been health-conscious. When it came time to apply to college, nutrition was the only thing that sounded like something I wouldn’t get bored doing for the rest of my life. It’s so applicable to everything. I also know that I could finish my degree, get married, have kids, be a stay at home mom, and NOT feel like I wasted four years. (I tell people to forget pre-med, I’m pre-mom! 😉 But the thing that got me hooked on nutrition, was when I realized that we could pretty much fix most health problems solely with our diet. Headaches, gastrointestinal problems, some forms of Diabetes, obesity – the list goes on and on. That’s so cool! So if you can’t tell, I love my major, and I’m really excited about it. I love every new thing I learn, and can’t wait to finish my degree. I’m so interested in this growing subject that I enjoy staying informed and up to date on the newest research and information, so you’re in good hands. 😉
Currently I’m home for the holidays. I’m enjoying catching up with my parents, hanging out with my little brother who is graduating soon, and using this month to grow spiritually. I love college, but it’s really easy to get so caught up in the day-to-day hustle and bustle that I start forgetting to prioritize. My Christian faith is important to me, and it gives me the desire to work hard, take care of my body, and serve others with knowledge I’ve gained at A&M. It’s nice to take time to reflect on that while I’m home (recovering from a rough round of finals).
I look forward to sharing some fun Christmas recipes and tips on how to stay healthy this holiday season with y’all. This is my favorite time of the year, and I am excited to share it with you guys!!
