December 10, 2019Three Easy Ways to Reduce Sugar without Kids Noticing
December 10, 2019Hello Everyone!
I am finally back after a month-long hiatus, a wonderful break! We had a fun relaxing time over Christmas and were very blessed to spend time with lots of family! Shortly after the decorations were put away my hubby left for a couple of weeks so my little one and I extended our stay with family. We are just now getting back to our “normal” routine.
My little one LOVED all of the Christmas celebrations. He loved all the people, presents, and of course the “special treats” aka sweets that mommy doesn’t usually give him! Almost a month later, he still asks daily for a special treat. Instead of disappointing him daily or giving him straight sugar, we now have lots of foods that are considered a “special treat.” I try to keep it as “dessert foods” that I know he will truly enjoy. Most of the time it is mango or berries with a little cool whip, but sometimes it is a true splurge for him like fruit snacks or a granola bar! He even got to eat a sucker while he got his hair cut – a God send since we made it through the whole haircut!!! So for the most part, the empty sugar calories are gone with the holidays, but the “special treats” are continuing.
There are so many fun things that I am excited to share with you this year. I hope that if you are into New Year’s Revolutions that a healthy lifestyle is on that list. If so, make sure you check out this blog frequently for tips to keep you and your family motivated. I hope that you and yours had a wonderful Christmas break and that 2013 will be a great and healthy year for you and your family!
