Pumpkin Pancakes
December 10, 2019Determining Childhood Obesity at Birth
December 10, 2019Kale is one of the healthiest vegetables you can eat. It is an excellent source of Vitamin A, C, and K, and a good source of calcium and potassium. Kale is part of the cabbage family and is very popular in Northern Europe. When selecting kale pick dark green leaves and not yellow or brown leaves. If the kale is old it can taste bitter. Not sure what to do with kale? Here is one simply recipe that your family will love. (I’m not kidding. They really will love it!)
Kale Chips
- Kale, one bunch torn into bite sized pieces. (Remove stems.)
- Olive oil, about 1 tablespoon
- Salt
Wash the kale and dry using a salad spinner or paper towels. I had a great helper who was very fascinated by the salad spinner!
Bake at 350 degrees for about 12-15 minutes.
They should be really crispy just like chips, but not brown.
My husband totally devoured all of the chips when he came home from work and asked when I was going to make more. It really is a great snack.
Come on.
Be adventurous.
Try something new.
Let me know how they turn out.
